Vigorous, flaring royal purple (RHC 89B) self; with yellow-orange spear signal surrounded with area of white; ziz-zag stalk with 5 inch flowers at 3 positions; foliage remains green even during scant rainfall. Blooming height is 30" at midseason.

 Doctor Ed* (R2000) Sauturn x Professor Paul) Tetraploid. This iris produces a subtle bicolor (cream and blue) Cream (RHC155D) falls overlaid with very pale blue wash (RHC 92D), with yellow green signal surrounded with blue; standards pale blue (RHC 92C) edged with cream white. This iris blooms 5 inch flowers of excellent substance on a 30 inch stalk at midseason at three positions. Limited supply.

 EMORY SMITH Vigorous, lightly ruffled blue lavender self with cream colored style arms tipped in blue-lavender.  Small signal patch of bright yellow outlined in lighter yellow on a cream ground. Grows 36 inches and blooms midseason.   (Noble Moment x Sea Consul).

 MUDBUG Floriferous short purple self with large signal patch grounded white overlaid with purple veining and a yellow line signal.  Darker purple streak at end of signal and slightly darker styles.  Excellent zig-zag stalk with 5 bloom sites.  18 inches.  (Dr. Dorman x I. brevicaulis)

 SUNSHINE BRIDGE Patrick O'Connor (R2000), Sdlg No. 94-13: Charlie's Michele X Beausoleil). Falls peachy red with huge thumbprint signal of light yellow with red veining and deeper yellow in center covering the lower half of the petal; standards a lighter red at tips but without the pronounced veining; light suffusion with a yellow cast in the lower part of the petal. The cream-yellow styles are very long, with slight reddish markings along the midrib.  Flower is about 5 inches across and distinctly flaring in form, reminiscent of I. giganticaerulea.; Blooms about 35 inches tall at 4-5 positions.

 PRYTANIA Patrick O'Connor (R2000, Sdlg. 95-4: (President Hedley X Hurricane Colin).  Deep yellow self that is completely sunfast; withered flowers are the same color as fresh ones.  Relatively short at 30 inches.

POVERTY POINT Opens medium rose suffused white. Falls have a large yellow arrowhead signal and deeper rose coloration around edges of petals about 1/4" in width. Styles are aslightly darker rose. Flower fades prettily to a powdery pink. Grows 36" tall. ANN CHOWNING x unknown.

  TICKFAW Patrick O'Connor(R1992, Sdlg. 83-17: Glad You Came X Ann Chowning).  Lightly ruffled red with prominent yellow veining radiating out from a yellow signal patch containing small green line markings.  Style arms red.  Short, bloomed at 22-28 inches in 1999.  Five bud sites with some branching.  Stalks and foliage grow as slight angle rather than perfectly upright.
